More Than Coffee Company Logo White

Our Story

In the summer of 2019, while on vacation in the Redwoods near Santa Cruz, California, Stacie had a vision for a coffee shop with purpose—a coffee shop that gave back. Upon returning to Asheville, North Carolina, Stacie and Stephen began refining that vision and More Than Coffee Company was born.

A year later, in the middle of the pandemic, their coffee shop dreams grew to
include a coffee camper. Stacie and Stephen spent months searching for the right camper
and in the Summer of 2021, they found “Jasper,” a 1965 Shasta, and drove to Illinois to
pick him up. The ultimate goal for “Jasper” the coffee camper is to help with disaster
relief—to encourage those who have lost everything with a beautiful cup of well crafted
coffee. To this end, our hope is to serve as the hands and feet of Asheville by partnering
with other businesses in the area.

Behind The Name

As our name implies, we want to be a coffee shop that does more than just serve people
an excellent cup of coffee. Everything we do we want to be more than great coffee, more than great service, more than ourselves. We want to help and champion the coffee farmers, we want to give back to local and international charities, we want to help educate people on the entire coffee process from (coffee) plant to cup, and we want to help foster a community and culture of giving, learning and dialoguing.

Mission Statement

To be more than ourselves, every step of the way, every day, and to give back to communities locally and around the world.

Our Vision

To make a positive impact from the coffee cherry to the freshly poured cup of coffee, to bless everyone along that path, and to use coffee as a way to support charities.
